Easterage

Woo. Long day. I don't know when the last time I attended a 2 1/2 hour long Catholic service was. What's that, never? Yes, well. I went to see my father-in-law enter the church, or, as I put it, become "Catholicized" after 37 years of being a good not-Catholic around the church. Go him!

Random thoughts I had during the service:

Jesus invented the three-day weekend. Called in dead on Friday, was better in time for work on Monday.

The litany of the saints would be much cooler, if done in a Pokemon Rap style. I still swear the priest was making some of them up.

Jesus was a great poker player even from birth. Why, while in the manger, he had a full house: three Kings, and a pair of Jews.

Don't hurt me. I respect the religion, but my thoughts are whimsical. I shared them with the priest, (except the last one) and he was highly amused.
