Mmmmm, Books.
Jul. 31st, 2004 03:34 amI love being a reviewer. Especially when I get sent cool books.
For instance, SO YESTERDAY by Scott Westerfeld, due out in September. Like Connie Willis' BELLWETHER, it deals with consumerism, media, fads, trends, and "cool."
I won't go into much detail now since I plan to review it for Chronicle, but the short is: -really- cool book, and I insist you keep your eyes open for it.
Teenage culture meets cutting-edge trend-setting as one of the people responsible for discovering the Next Cool Thing gets sucked into a bizarre conspiracy to undermine the very fabric of coolness itself...
This has been your 30-second book recommendation.
