TV Woot!

Can I just say, seeing The Dresden Files back to back with the two-hour premier of Blood Ties (based on the Tanya Huff urban fantasy series about a private investigator who -also- deals with vampires, werewolves, demons and stuff) makes me happy?

Cripes, never thought I'd watch anything on Lifetime of my own free will.
All they need to do now is put, say, Kim Harrison's Dead Witch Walking on TV and we're all set. (And yes, I heard where they were adapting Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse books as True Blood, starring Anna Paquin, for HBO.)
Actually, ya know?
Dresden Files on SciFi.
Blood Ties on Lifetime.
True Blood on HBO.

The other networks are gonna get jealous and start shopping... anyone heard anything about an Anita Blake series yet?

Frankly, my wishlist would be the Kim Harrison books, something based on the Bordertown series, something based on the Wild Cards series, and a full-length epic movie of War For The Oaks. For starters...
