So, anyway...
Dec. 31st, 2007 01:42 pmMary, bless her sweet, wonderful, devious heart, got me an iPod for Christmas. One of the cool things about it is its capacity to play audiobooks, which I love. So I've started copying over my collection of audiobooks on CD.
Sigh. Teeeeed-i-ous. The number of hoops needed to jump through in order to burn the audiobook to the computer, rejugger its files from m4a to m4b, and get it to show in the Audiobook section of my library, on top of the time it takes to burn each disc... Call it anywhere from 30-60 minutes per disc, and my current stack of discs to burn is something like 42, and a bunch more I just haven't collected in one place yet.
There's gotta be a better way. Because sadly, iTunes and Audible.com don't have some of the audiobooks I do, and I want them in my library.
*shakes fist at Apple for managing to make things so difficult.*
