It's one of THOSE Mondays.
We start off with the news that Harlan Ellison is still suing Paramount and the WGA over the use of that episode he did, "City on the Edge of Forever." In other news, water is still wet.

Then we move on to The SciFi Channel being so ashamed of being science fiction that it plans to rebrand itself. Because it doesn't want people to think science fiction is, well, science fiction. Or geeky. "“The name Sci Fi has been associated with geeks and dysfunctional, antisocial boys in their basements with video games and stuff like that, as opposed to the general public and the female audience in particular,” said TV historian Tim Brooks, who helped launch Sci Fi Channel when he worked at USA Network. "

That's right. The channel that brought you "Who Wants To Be A Superhero" and "Attack of the Sabretooth" and "Dungeons and Dragons 2" and "Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave from the Grave" among other classics, is so embarassed by its own programming, that it's changing its name to Tiffani with a heart over the 'i's' and coloring its hair pink.

Many other people will speak more eloquently of this development. I'm just introducing forehead to desk and praying it's an early April Fool's joke. Let's hope that they come to their senses before they become a laughingst-

So. Who wants more tea?
